About Us

Our Story

"We serve the child, not their circumstances, because children shouldn't be limited by the challenges they didn’t choose."

That simple but powerful message—shared by Linda Caudill, former children’s minister at Midway United Methodist Church—inspired Cindy Morris and became the heart of CONFIDENT Threads. For over a decade, Cindy led missions at the church’s consignment sale, supporting families in need. Even after the sale was retired, the calls didn’t stop—parents still reached out, searching for basic essentials for their children. Inspired to meet that need, Cindy began building what would become CONFIDENT Threads.

In 2021, she partnered with Creekside MomCo’s consignment sale to purchase children's clothing. Recognizing the impact, MomCo expanded its support by covering half the cost of purchases and offering early shopping CONFIDENT threads volunteers. With additional help from the Cumming Kiwanis Club and the donation of a retiring foster parent closet, CONFIDENT threads
continued as a community project for 3.5 years.

As demand increased, so did the need for space, funding, and structure. In November 2024, CONFIDENT Threads became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit and moved into a 1,500-square-foot warehouse, thanks to a generous donor who covered the first year of rent and utilities.

Now in 2025, with more children served in the first quarter than ever before, CONFIDENT Threads is focused on building a sustainable future—expanding its board, volunteer network, and community support to ensure no child has to face the school day unprepared.

Our mission

Our Mission is to provide high quality clothing for children in need and foster care. We believe that every child deserves to feel confident and comfortable in what they wear, regardless of their circumstances. Through our dedication and passion, we strive to empower these children by giving them access to essential clothing items that meet their needs and boost their self-esteem. By fostering a sense of security and belonging through clothing, we aim to make a positive impact on their lives and help them face the world with confidence. Together, we can make a difference, one thread at a time.
